adyieldmanager popup problem

    Hi there,

    Very reluctant to post but have followed all of the (very good) advice on this site and though I've managed to get rid of most of the trouble I am still plagued by adyieldmanager popups (free ringtones etc.).

    Would be very grateful if anyone could shed any light on my problem... Sorry I couldnt' do it myself!

    No browsers running when hijacked by the way

    First disable Spybot's Teatimer. It can get in the way of malware removal.

    To disable TeaTimer, run Spybot and click Mode and select Advanced Mode. Then click Tools and select Resident. Now in the right window pane, uncheck TeaTimer.
    Also while this is open, in the left column now select IE Tweaks and then in the right pane make sure all the Miscellaneous locks are unchecked.
    Now quit Spybot!

    Now you need to run the SpySheriff Sticky thread: SpySheriff (aka SpywareNo) Removal

    And post a new HJT log attachment as directed when finised. Make sure NO BROWSERS are running when using HJT.

    Downloaded and ran the free Ewido Security Suite version 3.5.0.0 (with updated database) and I have to say I think it removed any trace of the spyware I had.

    However, I followed your advice as well just in case and I haven't had a popup for 24 hours now!!!
