i need a new AGP card after my 6600GT GPU Fan broke down on me. i wanna go for 6800 series but what model is the best with value for money? GeForce 6800 Ultra, GeForce 6800 GT, GeForce 6800 GS, GeForce 6800 or GeForce 6800 XT? Also what brand(s) should i be looking at?

One of the most powerful, if not the most, for AGP is the 7900GS. Not sure if it's in your price range.

I just got an XFX 6800XTreme and its AWESOME. id heard mixed reviews about it but its so great. I can max out everything ive thrown at it so far: Half Life 2: Lost Coast, Battlefield 2 (not completely maxed but it still looks great), WoW, KOTOR II, and defaults on Oblivion to High. (not the best fps at that setting but you can drop it down a little and its still beautiful) Id highly reccomend it. Also, make sure you get the XFX one, it has way higher clock speeds (core 350, mem 1000) Havent tried unlocking it yet but ill see if it can soon

6800 Ultra. very rare theses days but a 6800GS almost matches its performance. Next comes the 6800GT and then the vanilla 6800 followed by the 6800XT. XFX cards have a double tifetime warranty; you get a lifetime warranty and so does the person you sell it to, if you want to. BFG cards are great too, i think that they allow overclocking, maybe im wrong, but their cards come factory overclocked anyways. EVGa has a step-up program that allows you to upgrade to a newer card just by paying the difference between the two cards which is nice. Good luck

ok so that means i should be looking out for the 6800GS and 6800GT models?

one more thing, is there any 6800 series card from any manufacturer that has support for VIVO (video in video out)?

i dont know much about VIVO but just check the specs of the card, it sometimes it even says it in the basic specs. right now, newegg doesnt have any 6800gt or 6800gs AGP cards and neither does tigerdirect so just keep lookin around, you could maybe even get a 7800gs off ebay if ya wanted

I got a FREE Geforce 5700LE (256meg) off my local Freecycle webgroup and it runs the game fine!

(Mind you i would never actually want to pay for a nvidia card!)
