AHHH!! I got the Project1 virus!!!

I did a little research on the virus and it looks like a rare virus. Other than that, I couldn't find much help. Please help me. Basically what happened was I got the virus from IM and it is a Program called "Project1" that stays as a running application every time I log off or reboot. If I try to end the task it comes back when I logoff/reboot. I'm very bad at technical computer virus removal, because I never really had anything infect my comp. Here's my HijackThis Logfile, is there anything wrong with it?

Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.

After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis and attach a log:


Downloading, Installing, and Running HijackThis


When you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too (these scans are covered in steps 6 & 7 of the READ & RUN ME sticky)

• Bitdefender
• Panda Scan
• HijackThis

Yeh, I ran HiJack This again, with your instrutions, and its attached now. But I still have the Project1 Virus. I didn't find much about the virus, just that it usually is sent through MSN Messenger. Please Help! I couldn't get the BitDefender or Panda Scan because my Internet Explorer is not cooperating with me because of the Project1. I seriously need some help.

 

Your log shows some things that need to be dealt with. Rename hijackthis.exe to analyse.exe.

Post a new HijackThis log.
