    Re: Aim away message virus

You should have started your own thread. I'll be moving you to one.

Did you run all steps of the READ ME FIRST?

    Also run this: AIM Fix

I did run all the steps in the read this first thing....try running that aim fix program, but it said to try running in safe mode and i'm unsure of how to run safe mode?

If you ran the READ ME FIRST, then you should already know how to boot in safe mode. You could not have run the READ ME FIRST without doing that.

ok i remembered how to do the safe mode, but i dont have an F8 option on the menu, do i still press F8 or another button...i have esc, F1 and F10. I will run the READ THIS FIRST STEPS again, and see if i get any better results.

Did you actually run the READ ME FIRST previously?
But did you run it in normal boot mode because you could not boot to safe mode?

It is important for us to know this info as it provides more insight into your problems.

You could try using the msconfig method of booting to safe mode. Read about it here:

    http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2001052409420406?OpenDocument&src=sec_doc_nam

You will have to run this again to get out of safe mode and back to normal boot mode.
