All else equal, which processor would be faster?

    Typical home use - browsing the web, downloading, watching video (either streaming or from the hard drive). So between the 2 below, if all else is equal which would be better? On the first, the front side bus is faster. But the other processor is clocked faster and is dual-core. Confusing!

    Intel® Pentium Dual-Core® E5800 w/VT (3.2GHZ, 2MB L2, 800FSB)

    or

    Intel® Core™ 2 Duo E7500 w/ VT (2.93GHz, 3M, L2Cache, 1066FSB)

    E7500. For what you want to do you could get a single core and it would be just fine. As long as you do one thing at a time, plus the C2D is newer tech and a larger L2 which feeds the core quicker.
