I have a close friend who just built his first custom comp under my supervision. He thinks his temps are too high...i think they are fine but wanted a 2nd opinion. He has a dual core X2 4800+ which runs real nice. His problem is that it idles at about 48 degrees celsius. I know this is pretty high for an idle, but then on full load after hours of gaming it never goes above 52, so I think he is fine, wanted to see what you guys think though. Thanks!!

Those temps are fine for a small cube type PC. No worries! 52C under full load is nothing to worry about; I wouldn't bat an eye until it got over 65C at full load, and even then, it's not the end of the world.... so, IMHO, all is well... 48C at idle is nothing to worry about and is definitely not the 'problem' your friend thinks it is ;)
