amount of scanned files/time avira

    hello so my last 2 scans using avira have both hit the 700,000 mark taking like 5 hrs to do a complete scan. I have no installed or downloaded anything recently. Before these scans if i can remember correctly i had around 300,000 files which took around 2hrs and 30mins to scan. Also no viruses come up when i scan and no malware with superantispyware

    Last question is there a way to check all the scan times/files for avira?

    hmm seems there is a time limit on editing posts. i wanted to add that my hd has 203gb used space and 290gb free space

    You may think this but not likely to be totally true. Are you saying that you have not allowed any programs to even update recently including Avira and Windows and possibly other programs doing automatic updates?

    Not that I know of. Have you look at a log to see what info they included for the scan.

    I'm not sure why you are posting in the Malware Forum since long scan times are fairly typical these days especially when scan ever file and folder. If you suspect you have malware problems, then you need to run the below and attach the requested logs:
