An infection or a glitch in Avast?

Hi,

I have recently upgraded Avast antivirus to its latest version. I have a few problems which I can't decide if they are real or a bug in Avast. Avast network shield tries to block the site (which is a link to an image) http://img.tradepub.com/images/majorgeeks_160header.gif when I visit majorgeeks forum. Also it blocks http://crl.usertrust.com/UTN-USERFirst-Hardware.crl when I visit kickstarter.com . The second one is more critical because the warning appears at the page where I am going to provide my credit card information to support a project, so I am reluctant to go forward with this information. Anyone have a similar experience or could provide a solution?

The first one worked fine for me, saw the MG gif.

The second one prompted me for a certificate acceptance:



But did not resolve after that. Shortening the URL to http://crl.usertrust.com/ took me to Comodo.com's web page...

Kickstarter.com came up fine.

Did Avast give you any options? Have you set it to ask you? Have you tried to visit the sites with the shield temporarily turned off?

 

Avast didn't give me any options, I didn't change any default option. Here are the messages provided by Avast:

If I disable network shield, I can access these sites without a problem. However there should be a reason for these false positive results, as you don't seem to suffer from the same problem.

 

Ran the URLs thru https://www.virustotal.com/ All clean.

At this point I would report the possible/likely false positives to Avast and do what I need to do to use the sites. Right after I made sure my Avast definitions were up to date...
