Anti-virus free programs

    Hello everyone:

    My current virus program with my cable company does not work. Simply because my o/s is outdated (WINME). I hope to get a new computer soon but my budget is super squeezed!!

    Anyway, I have an ETRust Anti-virus program that I have reinstalled on my system that I had before when I was a network administrator at an old job.

    Can anyone shed light on the best anti-virus programs that are free? It is probably an old age question, but I would love to hear opinions.

    I also have CCleaner, Spyware Blaster and Spyware Guard on board.

    Your OS is rather dated....so you can try doing a search under anti-virus windows ME. I am afraid though that most will not be free. Clamwin comes to mind, but it does not provide real time scanning. Do check MG's Anti-virus and sort for OS.
