    Dear Chaslang,

    I gave in and shelled out $100 to have Norton remotely remove it.

    Do you think that was a smart move? :confused

    Everything seems to be back to normal.

    No! I do not. Depending on the depth of your infection, they may have missed lots of malware especially if they were relying on their own tools which do not work very well to delect and remove much of the malware that exists today. In addition, we would have done a comprehensive check and cleaning for freee.


    If you wish to know if you are really clean and whether their are other possible tips we can give you, then run the READ & RUN ME and attach the log. If it turns out that you only had the one problem that was removed then that's great it will have just cost you a little time to prove that you are clean. We would then give you some important final instructions to help keep you clean.
