    Any HELP would be Great!!

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I just need a few ideas on Gaming memory for my PC.Its my 1st built PC,and i did a pretty good job.Im not to Bright when it comes to memory though,i currently have 2x512MB Super Tallent running at 202.8Mhz(single channel)3-4-4-8......I'm wanting to know whats best for gaming,my mobo does support dual channel. If i can have stable overclocking and great gaming speeds id be happy,id also like to get my CPU up to 3.6ghz if possible..Heres my current setup,ANY INPUT ON MAKING IT A BETTER PC WOULD BE APPRECIATED..
    MSI 865PE Neo-2 Platinum
    P4 3.06 800FSB 1024L2 Cache HT
    2x512 Super Talent DDR3200(200Mhz) single channel 3-4-4-8
    MSI 6600GT CLOCKED@ 555Mhz(core) 1.07Ghz(memory)
    2x80GB 7200RMP WD Hard drives(sata)
    Windows XP SP2

Everything seems pretty good already and is very stable,Never had any crashes..I just think i can squeeze more speed with better memory, thats where u come in...Thanks I do have pics if anyones intrested in seeing a 1st timer PC Build

i wana see the pics... and maybe over clock ur cpu a bit i can push my 3.2 to 3.5 with stock cooling.. rams slow you need dual channel to enable the DDR

ocz would be a good ram for gaming :) As far as getting the 3.06 chip to 3.6 well it might be feasable but you would need better than stock cooling I've run my3.4 at 3.856 on a gigabyte silent rocket cooler and it doesnt go above 55c, at stock speeds it stays at 50-51c.i could push it more but dont have any reason to I was at 1.36v @227 fsb :)

If you are wanting to overclock your system you will need good ram with good timings, or if you just want faster ram you could get a name brand value series of ram. Here are some examples of ram you can overclock with. ZipZoomFly

Here is a value series of ram that is fine for not overclocking

Nice looiking build, as far as the memory yeah you could go that high but it depends on if you can get a 1:1 ratio with your processor and memory usually that is where you find the best performance. That Intel has a bus speed of 200 and is quad pumped 200x4 =800mhz. If not you could always run a divider between your memory and processor.

a divider? ya lost me there.. with the RAM i have now im set up 1:1 the only problem is the RAM was cheap and was the only thing i cut down budget wise when building,i thought RAM was just RAM and that all were the same,so i just got a GIG of the cheap stuff(if i knew better,i wouldnt have) Now,this divider between my RAM and CPU,any info on that would be great, and thanks for explaining all this to me..I really know what im doing, just not when it comes to memory, its the only thing i never learned about..

There is a great thread posted in the overclocking section By Ace , it is long but you will wan to read it all throughly before you even start to overclock your system. their is a section on the memory question you ask.

after that it you have questions you can post them in that section ,and congrats on your build we all got to learn somtimes.
