Any ideas on what would cause MS Word to keep freezing?

I'm not getting too much work done.

 

I have a vivid picture of what you must be experiencing and how frustrating it is, but I need more information. When did it start? Have you recently installed new software? Is your disk full? Have you defragged lately? What operating system are you using? And anything else you can think of. It's possible that Word needs a repair. It's also possible there is malware affecting Word.

It's been happening for the past few days. The only downloads I've done have been directly from this site

I'm using Win XP Professional. Just defragged yesterday

It's Word 2000, however it's been fine up until recently.

If you have your Word CD, repair is simple and effective. Not scary like OS repair.
