Anyone using MS OneNote 2003?

I just visited a MS update site and it says I need to install 4 updates to combat a security problem in One Note 2003.
Trouble is the 4 updates are 37.8megs in total size and at least a 2 hour update on dialup.
(PS: I'm still waiting for my ADSL2 connection and modem, any day now?)

OneNote came pre-installed on my 5 month old Toshiba laptop.
I did try it once or twice but am not really impressed with it.

My question is "does anyone actually use it?" What advantages in using it?
And what is as good an alternative, and nowhere near as bloated. Bazza

 

One note was cool, used it back in college for various tasks professors request done in it. Dont use it anymore as the helpdesk job i now have doesn't require it, neither does my side jobs either.
