APC Powerchute software

    This isnt really a problem, just very annoying.--
    I bought an APC backup for my computer and i have the Powerchute junk installed. I want to keep it resident and whatnot like it is now, just without that junky splash screen it puts up when ya boot!! I have seen that some people have a file in thier powerchute directory called 'disablesplashscreen.reg' and they just merge that and they're OK. But i dont have that. So if anyone can suggest something, that would be great! :-D

    I never install the Powerchute 'junk' like you said. Depending on your OS, support is built-in. Windows XP, Server 2003 have settings for UPS backups builtin.

    thanks a ton...i thought it had it built in...even NT4 now that i think about it..All i gotta say is-"Will be uninstalling it tomorrow!"
