Appearence Of Home Screen?

Can anyone tell me how to change the appearence of my home screen. This is my mums laptop, it's windows 10, for some reason the task bar is on the side, and those silly apps are in the middle. Ive tried appearence settings but can't find anything in there to change it. I dont know what shes done to it but i want it changed back to the normal windows 7 look again.

Hold the left mouse button down and drag the taskbar back to the bottom of the screen. Use a blank space on the taskbar.

 

Just found out it was on notebook mode too
