Apple IMac

    Anyone know anything about Imacs?

    Got a mate who has an Apple Imac (all the info I have before I go and see it, apparently about 7 years old, football style with monitor attached if that makes any sense to anyone.)

    I fix loads of `normal` Windows based PC's but have never even used an Imac let alone looked inside one.

    Needs a new DVD Drive, Is it as easy to get in and change? Do they need specific dvd drives? Drivers etc same as windows based? Any good websites with guides?

    First need to know if the mac uses scsi or ide, if its ide usually its a fairly simple change just use a radonom dvd ide drive should work if not scsi may be a bit tricky but i am not sure on scsi.
