Are Ati and Asus GPUs similar?

    Maybe the thread name should be "will Riva Tune work on my Asus card?". (want to turn the PC into an oven, he he!!)
    I have an Asus Radeon x1600Pro. I have known these cards as Ati's before I buy this one. So I assumed that Asus is only constracting the cards for Ati, using the same technology. Is that correct?

    ASUS has manufactured your video card using a GPU (the chip underneath the cooling fan) manufactured by ATI, so yes, you're about right.
