I would like to get a new desktop tower and install a pci card in it. This specific card:

I wanted to know if new desktop computers still accept pci cards. My current pc is still a Pentium 4... Lol. I don't know if motherboards have advanced so far as to NOT accept pci cards.

    Thanks

Almost all motherboards still have at least 1 old fashioned pci slot. Also, alot of motherboards offer onboard sound, so you might not need your old sound card.

Keep your sound card around though. In case something happens(ex: your HD crashes and you can't get your sound driver to work) It happened to me so I took my sound card outta my old rig and installed it in the new one and tada sound once again.

It's actually not an old card. It's fairly new and still quite the pretty penny around $300.

I actually need to use it... It's a lot more powerful than standard onboard sound.
