    Hi,

I would like to scan a few pages of a file & store them as a PDF file.

I don’t want to buy expensive Adobe Pro to do it.

Are there cheaper or shareware software to scan documents & store them as PDF files ?

    Thank You,
    Mike

    Hi Just Playin,

When I scan a page, would it automatically create it as pdf file or do I scan a page save it as an image file ( GIF or JPG or Bitmap ) and then convert it to pdf using cutepdf ?

    Can you please explain ?

    Thanks
    Mike

Use these just the same as a physical printer. Both work as a virtual printer, they print to a PDF file instead of paper. It needs to be saved to a format that can be printed out using any printer.

I have been using PaperPort (by ScanSoft) for many years with my Visioneer scanners. It will scan direct to PDF if so desired adn has a good system to store and organize your paperwork.
