Asus A7V880 motherboard/Processor problem

    I installed an A7V880 into my pc and now my processor which was an athlon xp 2100+ has been detected as an athlon xp 1500. any suggestions on how to get my old processor speed back? ive tried reformatting and reinstalling my os and tried to update the BIOS, but was given a corrupt BIOS version 1007. right not i believe i have the BIOS version 1004.

    should be a jumper near your CPU on the mobo thats set to 100FSB (look in the manual) just flip it to the other option which should be FSB 133/all (or somthing like that)
