I have an ASUS notebook running windows xp and I am running short on memory. There are some ASUS programs installed that I don't think have ever been used. They are

    ASUS ChkMail
    ASUS Hotkey
ASUS Utility (contains WINFLASH V2.07 and Probe V2.10

What are these programs and are they safe to uninstall?

    Regards

    Sandy

ASUS ChkMail = As the name implies CheckMail, probably safe to unisntall.
ASUS Hotkey = Used to configure the Hotkeys on the keyboard, I would keep this one.
WINFLASH V2.07 = Used to FLASH the BIOS on your computer, keep it.
Probe V2.10 = System Information Utility, keep it.

    Are you running short
    of (1) hard drive space,
or (2) using up all your RAM when running your PC,
or (3) getting low on Resources?

All 3 are sometimes described as "getting low on memory".

All three are completely different and need different courses of action to fix. Let us know which one, or if more than one, apply and we can help. Bazza
