I am looking for some kind of alternate cooling for my athalon 2700+. Its running hot all the time now, 60C. Can anyone suggest what kind of 3rd party cooler I can install?

    Do you mean Athlon:p
AMD Athlon XP 2700+ socket a/462
    60c ya thats hot.

    I'd recommend a Thermalright SI-97a with a Panaflo fan 56cfm or more
Here's a great deal on one, add fan the Panaflo H1Bx with 3pin tail (the 3 pin will connect to your mobo cpu fan header, also supports RPM monitoring)

IMO, I don't think you'll find any better air cooling solution

I use the same exact HSF on my OCed XP 2600 mobile running 9.5x250fsb at 2375MHz my temps idle about 31c, max load maybe mid 40's
