ATI 1650 pro HDMI & sound conflict

    I just purchased a Visiontech ATI 1650 Pro with HDMI out and pluged it into my HP W2207H monitors HDMI port, video is awesome but the sound no longer come out my speakers I have plugged into the sound card. Sound only comes from speakers built into the monitor. The only other video connection on the monitor is VGA. How can I get my speakers plugged into the sound on the motherboard?

    There should be some way to disable the speakers on the monitor. Have you looked in control panel and checked both the monitor and the sound for possible settings?
