I have a user who gets this display issue when leaving system on overnight.
It's hard to describe, but looks like a refresh issue. See pics.

Notice the wallpaper remnant left behind under the moved window.

    Any ideas?

    Hi

Which OS? ( I know its most likely one of the 9x's )

Has the Gfx card drivers been re-installed or updated to see if that fixes this?

Does this issue happen only when left on for a long-ish period of time or can it happen from startup?

If only happens when on for a long period of time, possible suspect is internal PC heat becoming too warm and causing gfx corruption, is the PC clean and free from dust, especially GFX card?

    It is Windows 2000.
User just discovered that problem only occurs when he locks workstation, not if he logs off, so it's almost a non-issue now, but still curious what could be happening. Drivers have been upgraded, no change. It may not be time related, just coincidental that when he leaves, he had been locking PC.

    Thanks,
