Ati X800Pro vs. Nvidia's 6800GT

I want to buy a new videocard this week, it's either the Asus ATI AX800PRO 256MB or the Aopen Geforce 6800GT 256Mb. I'm upgrading from an Ati 9800pro card. The price is for both the same. Games I play are Half-Life2, Doom 3 and Far-Cry.

Please help me out!

Personally I would go for the 6800 gt, from the benchmarks i've looked at the 6800 gt seems to have an edge over the x880 pro.

Benchmarks can mean very little in real use.

However, I too would opt for the 6800 GT, especially at higher resolutions and detail settings.

 

Whats the specs of the rest of your system?

 

6800gt, i like how nvidia rarely comes out with new drivers, because they work.
I used to have ATi and needed the monthly driver updates just to play the newest games, no more with NVidia.
