audacity-create process failed-app.config. incorrect

    Tried the normal fix (visual c), Audacity nor Cam Studio will install. Application configuration incorrect usually suggests Visual C missing or something. Not sure what to do next. Did a lot of searching . Spent about 5 hours trying.
