Audio Driver help - How to find out which one I need ?

    now...

    I have no clue how to find the right driver...

    I don't know the 'name' thingy of my audio thingy...

    but I must find a driver for it !!!

    but how...

    when I am so clueless...

    isn't there a program or anything that can help me ?

    Hi and Welcome,

    Download this small app and install it ( Everest Home Edition Free )
    http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4181

    once installed it can give you masses of info on your pc and may help track the driver down.

    As you say you know the name of the audio ""thingy", can you let us know what its called?

    If you can give us some more background info this will also help,

    What OS are you using ?
    Is this a home built PC or pre-built from the likes of DELL, HP etc?
    if so model and version number will help
    What motherboard do you have? ( can help track onboard drivers from manufacturer )
    you can find out what your motherboard is from using Everest, run it and click Motherboard > Motherboard and name of board will be listed.
