    Hi there,

I had a problem with CWS quite some time ago and thought that the roblem had been resolved.

After i installed SP2, i could no longer go to the windowsupdate.com, it just comes up with a blank page, error message at bottom

    Line: 72
    Char: 3
Error: Automation Server can't create object
    Code: 0
    URL: http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/

It has not been an issue as I had been recieveing automated updates.

It has now become an issue however, as my email is on MS Office Web Access, and i am getting the same error message.

The page loads, says i have email but will not show the emails.

    Please help if you can.

    regards

Down loaded and installed, but no effect.

also tried dotnetfx.exe, also has no effect.

No Malware or virus detected and HJT is clear.

Problem occurs with MS Outlook Web Access and MS update.

Try setting the security level for the INTERNET ZONE to default.

Do you have BugOff installed by any chance?

If you do, go and make sure that Micro$$oft XMLHTPP is enabled.

EDIT: Sorry Kodo, didn't refresh page!

BuggOff not installed, and Changing security settings to default makes no change....

The reason I asked is that Micro$$oft Update requires XMLHTTP to operate and BugOff can disable this.

    Anyway, try THIS.

    Gave it a go.

Funny thing is MSXML 3.0 was not installed, i installed 4.0 but still not fixing the problem.

I will be off till tommorow.

I'm surprised that none of the solutions worked.

Kodo's solution should work, as well as the ones I've posted.

Anyway, all I can suggest at this stage is to enable Automatic Updates, at least till you get this fixed, then try the suggestions in the SpyWare Forum to rule out infection as the cause.

    Good luck.

I took the easy way out and re-formatted.

Seems fine, just seemed to be an error with the copy of Windows i was running.

thanks all for your help though.
