How do I fix "windows is busy" on Internet Explorer, or remove the virus if it's a virus? I just did a full system scan using Lavasoft Ad-Aware and Avast anti virus program but unfortunately it did not fix the problem!

I'm pretty sure that it's a virus of some sort. Whenever I click on a link, it keeps trying to connect to the site, but it never does. After that, I can't go to another site unless I close the window and re-open another one. Also, when I'm closing the window, a pop-up window tells me that windows is busy, and if I want to close it.

Should I use Spybot Search and Destroy? I don't have it installed. Have u worked with this problem before?

    I appreciate it, thanks!

Lavasoft Ad-Aware is not recommended anymore as it is very ineffective. We recommend uninstalling it. If you believe you have malware problems your starting point was listed in the sticky threads:

ok did the cleaning as recommended but unfortunately when in Yahoo mail as I'm most of the time it's always busy when I try to go to another site and when I close it says IE busy! :( it's so frustrating, now this doesn't happen in Mozila FireFox but hate FireFox and I'm almost certain there is some kind of malware your programs and Ad-Aware didn't catch and btw I didn't have this problem until this week so I know something is going on behind the scene. It's so frustrating using this pc. I usually have no problems with it even though it's a relatively 5 yr old pc. Thanks

with the risk of coming across as less than smart, I don't see anywhere where it says to run a log. Even did a edit find LOG and it came out with nothing.

Please just click on the link that I gave you and read the instructions. At the very end of that link will be another link for you to click on which operating system you are trying to clean.
