Avast uninstall tool update from 4.8 to 5.0

I'm still using the 4.8 version,but i too would like to upgrade to the 5.0,the thing is that i cant find the 4.8 removal tool on their site,only the one for the 5,question is would i use the newer version to uninstall the older one ? I'm still searching for the older one if that's whats needed.

Pistol, you should be able to uninstall 4.8 just fine by stopping all of the scanners, then using either the avast! or Windows uninstall routine - I've upgraded several machines (with different OS versions) with never a hitch...
