Average download speeds

Don't know if anybody can really answer this...but is a overage download speed of +/- 100kbps normal for "high" speed cable internet?

 

What are you rated for?

I download at 1.2 megabytes per second.

 

Actually, I have no idea...

How would I find out?

 

Call your cable company. You pay a certain amount for a certain rate. You could check their wbesite, too.

Point in case, here is 6Mbps for regular service and 9Mbps for Premiere.

 

I pay for the full hi speed cable internet extra fast Cheetah crapola... small market so its probably not that great, but 100 kbps seems a bit low to me...

 

Well, unless you have a basis to pull from, i.e. your rated speed, its hard to say.

Sorry it has taken me this long to continue this thread...busy with work and all.

But the atatched link shows the package I purchased through my provider.

Am I on par with that? I dunno...

 

When you download a file from a Good Server the stable Download "Speed" should be 100KB/sec. (B=Byte).
