After updating AVG Free Edition today it gave me the following:
    Trojan horse Downloader.Generic6.RBK
    C:\Program Files\FLVPlayer4Free\FLVPlayer4Free.exe

I got the FLVPlayer4Free from here on MG.
Is this just a false positive/mistake on AVG?(

I have this (FLVPlayer4Free) on several other PCs and have yet to see this on any of them.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I thought about doing that, but before I did that, I was going to see if anyone else has had this issue or heard about it, especially with it being on here at MG

    Thanks :)

Sadly it seems AVG is slowly becoming the false positive king of AVs.. I tried this app on my PC and as I use AVAST it came up clean and I did run it through an few other AVs and also came up clean so can only summise that it is indeed a false positive as many exes can be flagged by an AV.... its upto the AV company to work out which is legit or not otherwise many users will be deleting legit apps!!

    This place http://virusscan.jotti.org/
will scan a file on your computer using 20 different programs.
If you get the majority of programs finding nothing, then assume it is a false positive.

    Very good suggestion Plodr,

Today many malwares are using similar .exes and names in order to fool AVs, if they can mimic a legit apps exe then it will not be flagged by the AV, saldy the flip side to this is that many AVs these days and some are better thn others, is that legit apps are flagged as malware.... in recient months it seems in what I see that AVG is the worst of the bunch, but others have been just as bad, but you did right Micky in asking before deleting as its always best to get second opinion before deleting a legit app.

One set of apps that will flag an AV are the types of legit keyloggers that many of us may use... this is by design that they are flagged... just a heads up.
