AVG causes constant system freezes

    I used Avast for the last year, but my system was slow and someone suggested Avast might be to blame. So, I uninstalled Avast and switched to AVG. Now my system freezes over and over and over. I know that the AVG is to blame because when I did a system restore everything worked fine (but slow) with Avast, and when I put AVG back on everything started freezing up.

    Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do, or should I just go back to Avast.
