avoiding cs lag.

alright well all my comp is default factory.. no added hardware etc..

and when i play counterstrike (been playing for 1year) it doesnt lag but it runs at 60fps and it lags only in some servers.

I wana avoid all lag and have high fps.. and run counterstrike at it maximum potential here are my specs (tell me the specific spec u wana see if it not listed)

my question is what should i add (memory etc..) what new piece of hardware should i get??? price range would be 200$-400$ maybe even more not sure

 

buy a new video card, get 512mb ram, cost you about 250$

 

so another 512 of mb ram and i new vid card?

i think im agp so what do u recommend ?

 

for around 180$ USD you can get a 6600GT 128mb, or for about 250$ (maybe less) you can get a 6800

and if you're talking about CS 1.6, you really don't need to upgrade your RAM to achieve higher/stable FPS... i'm running on 512MB of ram and have a Geforce 4 Ti4400 128MB video card and maintain 80-99 fps on every map except a few select spots in de_aztec... i have a much slower processor than you as well
