I know that browsers tend to pull up index.html or index.htm when a site is loaded. I've seen often where an index file was not specified and instead you got a directory listing of that folder. Is there a way (a switch or something) that will show the directory listing even if there is an index.html file in that directory?

I've tried various :, *, list, etc. commands - but haven't found the right one yet.

part of that depends on if the admin has allowed directory browsing. As far as I know, the server will point to the default page and that's that.
