I have the following Tyan motherboard / Award BIOS combination:

    Information About Your Current BIOS:

BIOS Type: Award Modular BIOS v6.00PG
    BIOS ID: 11/09/2001-P4X266-8233-6A6LWT59C-00
    BIOS Date: 20011109
BIOS Vendor: Award Software International, Inc.
    BIOS Version: 6.00 PG
    BIOS Size: 262144
    Chipset: VIA 82C3128 rev 1
SuperIO: Winbond 697HF rev 6 at port 002E
    OEM Sign-on: TYAN Trinity 510 V1.04 110901
    Motherboard Name: VIA Technologies, Inc.
    Motherboard Model: P4X266-8233

I have noted an upgrade (the latest) on the Tyan website:

    -----------------------------------------
    Date: 06/13/02

    Upgrade File: 2266_105.ZIP

    Description: TYAN Trinity 510 (S2266) V1.05 060702
    New features and Fixes :
Add Celeron 1.7 GHz CPU support.
    -----------------------------------------

Currently the BIOS recognizes a WD Caviar Blue PATA 500 GB Desktop Hard Drive (WD5000JBRTL) as only having 136 GB.

Will the TYAN Trinity 510 (S2266) V1.05 upgrade allow me access to the entire 500 GB of the drive?

If not what recourse do I have?

    Thanks
    Bob Strong
