   Hi all im trying to fix my friends Compaq Presario SR1610NX and I get this award bootblock bios v1.0 error when i try to boot it up. Any help is appreciated

   Hi,
   
   Try unplugging the computer and removing the quarter-coin sized battery for a minute or two and then putting it back and plugging in and trying to boot. Make sure you have a keyboard attached when trying to boot.
