Backing up .wav files on a shared network

    Not sure if anyone can help with this, but any advise will be much appreciated. I am looking for a good way to back up wave files that can be shared and retrieved when needed. There is not really a prefered media and I am new to the concept. Is there a 3rd party software that can be used with active directory, that can do this through automation at scheduled times? Even if someone could give me a gentle nudge in the right direction, this would be great.
