backup image of system drive

Hi,
I have heard that there is a very rapid way to restore your windows settings including all your installed programs settings, should windows become curropted.
A backup image of system drive is required. A partition of the c drive is required for wnindows, all programs and all user settings.
A larger partition is required for your documents folder.

Does anyone know what program to use and how to do this?

It is supier to the system restore function.

Hi

Yes this application is my favorite and will create a clone/image of your HD, thus your OS and all the installed software and settings so that in the event of a crash or malware you can restore a good known image back, then its just like you back were you left off

there maybe some freebies apps around but I have used and have had nothing but great word to say about this app and its ease of use, well worth the $$$s or Euros, you may find a cheaper version of Version 10 as Version 11 of Acronis True Image has just been released.

Notes on images and clones, do store them on a seperate drive or media to your main HD, and well with keeping a rolling 3 of them so your currrent and in case one backup fails, its rare but media can get scratched.
