Spybot found 1 item of BackWeb lite with 56 registry key entries. I have been searching around and found that this might be tied to Kodak Easyshare Software, as well as many other programs, for automatic updating. Is this something I need or is OK to remove and can it be removed through Spybot's newest version?

It depends on whether you want whatever it is used for on your PC to be automatically updated. I prefer to not have anything automatically update. Especially stuff like that. Many people classify this backweb stuff as mild malware.

I, as you, prefer to do all my updating manually and turn off anything that has to do with auto updating. With that in mind would deleting this BackWeb lite through Spybot, and its 56 registry entries, break the software that it came with? It was probably bundled with my Kodak Easyshare Software or my Mcafee.

It does not come with McAfee. It should not break your Kodak Software. Normally you can just remove the Startup entry that loads the program and be done with it. You may even find it in Add/Remove programs where you can uninstall it (unless it was hidden within the Kodak Software itself). You can just try having Spybot fix what it found too and see what happens. Spybot has a Recovery option to restore changes if the break something on you.

OK, Thanks. I think it was hidden in Kodak. It is not in Add/Remove. I will probably just let Spybot fix it. At the very worst, I have the Kodak CD and can uninstall and reinstall the software. Thanks for your help.
