Bathroom Redux

    So we are thinking of gutting our bathroom and starting over. It's totally outdated and the tiles are moldy and I'm afraid what I'll find under them.:(

    So I've bought magazines and all that fun stuff. I saw this one tub that is a japanese soaking tub (basically a small deep tub that won't take up so much space :-D) and start looking them up online. I found one online I love. I should have known to be weary when I saw the 'manufacturer requests we don't publish price'.rolleyes

    Guess how much. Go ahead....

    Those swanky tubs are great but ya can't beat a good simple shower :-D wouldn't like to guess at the price range...something mind blowingly high

    $12,000 or roughly £6,000!

    Can you imagine??

    Yep...We want to do a really good shower. I don't even care about the tub, just wanted to take up less space.

    £6,000 :eek My word, I would want that tub to be 9 carat gold for that amount of money....ooooh and silver plated bubblebath..LOL

    I do know what ya mean though..those baths are lovely lookin

    @chaimjm I love all those shower heads. That's what we want to do. I'm kinda wondering what those creepy seats are though. LOL

    What ever amount your budgeted for think double, it just seems to work out that way, did for me anyway.

    Gawd, I don't even want to think of that. Bathrooms and kitchens...what a nightmare as far as renovating. The money you can spend on faucets, baths, appliances is crazy.

    You got that right laura.

    Builders started renovating our kitchen yeaserday.
    Knocked two walls down so there are wires and pips sticking out everywhere.

    Our bathroom is next to the kitchen, while they were tracking the kitching walls for wiring half the plaster fell off the bathroom wall:cry

    No cooker or sink until the weekend and my wife is about to go into meltdown:eek.

    Sounds like you'll be getting takeout food for a bit, ww.;)

    We had our kitchen done a couple of years ago. The combo of having guys in your house indefinitely, no appliances, etc is horrible. Good luck with it all.

    Was getting dark last night. went to turn on the lights nope.
    The electrician who was doing the wiring hadn't reconnected them before he left for the day:banghead

    Put the heating on to heat the water nope. wasn't working either:***

    I would think again about gutting your bathroom and starting over laura:(;)

    Yuck. So you don't have any water or lights in the whole house?

    I'm hoping it'll just be our bathroom upstairs that gets disrupted when we do it. If we do it, anyway. Even if we do, it won't be until after December I'm thinking

    Our house is rented, so we have no say on who is doing the Renovating:banghead

    There were a few choice words to them this morning i can tell you.
