ok my dad has begin2search adware on his computer. i have done the following in order to remove it
1. googled the removal intructions.(not all the files were present in the registry)
2. tried running norton antivirus,spysweeper
3. tried hijack this
maybe it's something else but begin2search is still there. it highlights words in orange creating links to ad web sites. i think i have some updated version of it ...because it installed additional 20 adwares on the computer. i don't know what to do anymore help

If you already have any of the programs linked in the tutorial please double check your version to make sure you have the latest one and that you have any/all updates for the programs.

NOTE: In order to resolve the issues you are having it is very important that you at least try to perform all the steps as outlined. If you have any difficulty please post back letting us know what steps you have completed, what you found while doing the scans if anything and details about any problems you have encountered in completing the steps. The more details you can provide the better.

I was able to eliminate the Begin2Search toolbar by using the Regedit program and deleting these files as identified by Symantec here http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/adware.begin2search.html -- good luck-- TM
