Best/Cheapest way's to improve my gaming rig?

Hey guys, so I have been working on my gaming rig for a couple of years now. It originally started out as an alienware x51 slim tower PC with
GPU: GTX545
CPU: Intel I5 2320 3.0GHZ
Ram: 8GB

I have since upgraded the Graphics card to a GTX 660TI, not only do I play games but I record for my YT channel while playing them, in recent games I have had problems in dipping down to 30FPS while recording.

So to get down to it I was wondering what the cheapest way to improve FPS would be, I thought of more RAM but sadly the MOBO that came on this computer only has 2 ram slots which really sucks. A friend of mine suggested I buy a SSD, but I think this would only help with booting and loading times and not actual FPS. I am thinking about buying a new CPU but the problem is I only have about $250 to spare, I have an old MOBO which has a LGA 1155 slot so it cant find the newer CPU's into it, I could also but an older CPU but I dont know how much it would actually improve things.

Should I just save up more money? Is my MOBO the biggest limiting factor in my rig? I dont really know much about PC part's beside putting them together and troubleshooting.

Are you sure it fit's my mobo? In the video about these new 4thgen cpu's they say it wont fit a 1155 mobo.

 

1150 wont fit in an 1155 socket.

 

Ah yes you're right. I was looking a bit too hard there.
At newegg though you can sort by socket type. Here's the stuff that fits the 1155 sockets.
