Best Video Studio Software for Windows 7

I do video productions out of my house and have been using Windows Xp with Ulead 8. My computer was built by a friend of mine almost ten years ago and is too slow and outdated so I bought a Dell Inspiron 580 with 8GB of ram, Intel Core i5-650M processor (64 bit processor), with a 1.5 TB SATA II hard drive. I also bought a Nvidia GTS450 DDR 5 1GB video card to install into the new tower. My question is what is the best and most reasonable video editing software for this computer, I know my Ulead 8 will not work, it's only good for up to XP. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I personally use Sony Vegas Pro 10 64-bit. I'm not sure exactly what all editing needs you have, but it's met every one of mine and then some.

Adobe Premiere is what i recommend for high end editing on a windows machine.

 

both are great pieces of software imo
