Better Graphics Vista gce it a worse Base Score ???????

Can anyone tell me why i have just brought a xpert vison cheap 9800gt 512mb then i sent it back 3 days later and got the BFG 9800 GTX+ OC 512mb my Vista rating went from 5.2 down to 4.0 on graphics and 4.5 on gaming graphics its a better card???????

I wouldn't put too much trust in the Vista rating. Use something like 3DMark06 to test your graphics card performance.

 

OK cheers but listen this right i have been playing crysis on very high all week and all i had to do was put the shadow effects on medium and it played pretty good on my xpert vision 9800gt but i just got this MASSIVE BFG gtx+ oc and it has a few more stream processors=128 and it wont even run it on medium WTF gives im pretty pi**ed off it was £50 more expensive what do i do......Take it back me thinks?

 

did you do a clean driver install? If any remnants were left of the driver then an issue may arise due to drivers set up for gt not gtx

 

Agree with Senlis. Check out post #4 (Tip # 36) at http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=168572 for another person's experience at throwing money at their PC in an endeavour to improve their WEI rating. :cry Bazza
