Better Operating System 98 or ME?

    Currently, I am running Windows ME and I have been having a lot of problems (I have always ran ME). I also have Windows 98 operating system and was wondering if 98 was a better operating system in comparison to ME? Will I have less problems if I change? Is one more stable than the other?

    I always thought that 98 was better. It was a great operating system.

    ME is actually built on 98SE, and turned into a bug filled mess.

    98SE is the better of the two, but have you considered getting an OEM upgrade disk? for as little as ~ $70 you can get windows XP pro--even cheaper than Home edition

    XP is a whole world better than 98 or ME.
