Bios not detecting hardrives and all drivers

On a raid 0 system, one of the hardrives crashed. So I replaced it with 2 new hardrives, but the Bios and sytem does not detect a bootable drive.

Sytem Specs:
Dell xps 600, 4gigs of ram, Intel pentium d. 3.0 ghz, 600watt psu, Nvidia 7800gtx 256mbs,

New hardrives: Western digital caviar green 640 gigabyte, 7200 rpm, 16gb/s, Sata

Old hardrives: Samsungs 160gb sata

 

frist put old one and check bios start orr not.............if same problm contect to dell support center ...........

 

Not quite with you on this ..New hardrives: Western digital caviar green 640 gigabyte, 7200 rpm, 16gb/s, Sata you saying you have a 16 Gig HD ?? if thats a type erorr your settings might still be set to the old Raid. Press F6 at start and that should take you to the Raid setup then destroy original Raid settings and go from there all info will be on screen.

 

I can't acess Raid setup utility, and it says no boot device available. We are able to get into the BIOS.

 

Ok ... Just use the one Hd and connect the Data Cable to the N0 1 connector on your motherboard and the power. Go into Bios/Boot/Hard Disk Drives and see if it is listed there it should be saying something like SATA 1 then a number if so SAVE and reboot. Check that the SATA Power cable is seated correctly and if need be try other cables.
