Biostar - M7NCD Ultra - nVIDIA nForce2 Motherboard

nForce boards have earned a lot of respect early on. I have used quite a few and love them. Frankly, I think the onboard sound is over-rated, but hear people who love it. According to the website, it does not have onboard video, but that might be an advantage for you as ATI seems to be winning the graphics battle, so onboard would have been nVidia. Downside is a top end card is around 500, something decent is 2-300. No point buying a screaming machine and skimping on video. If you want to save money, finding onboard video will help, just make sure it has an AGP slot anyhow, in case you want to upgrade later.
