BitDefender Error I can't figure out

    Hi,

    I've been working through the 6-step process of malware removal thread and got to the point where I need to run Bitdefender and post my logs.

    The problem I've encountered is that Bitdefender gives me this error when I try to run it:

    "Service Pack 2 was detected on this computer.
    Click on the information bar and select "Install ActiveX Control...".

    However, I could not find an information bar anywhere on their site or figure out what it means on my computer. I have updated my Internet Options Security level to medium (As their site recommends) but it did not fix this problem.

    Thanks for any insight you've got!

    Hi Jelena :)

    Did you get this dropdown bar in IE as arrowed in blue if so click it to install the activeX component Bitdefender needs.

    I used IE7 so it could look a tiny bit different to your browser but the dropdown bar is inthe same place.

    If your finding it hard to run Bitdefender, skip that step for now and continue and attach the logs you could run.
