   i recently modified the setings in my services .msc. i put a data disc into the cd rom, but nothing happens. could my altering of those settings effect my hardware in that way? any help?

   Excellent ques recentlly have done twaeks (2 months ago) and USB has become a pain, would try to back track everything and then try again. Worse case restore point.
